good times.

i've been working the last four days and it's been kinda busy, but at least i've made decent tips. today was my first day off since wednesday and i went to the beach with xandie, emily, will, chris, and costa. the waves weren't as good as jalama, but we still had fun with the boogieboards. they went yesterday, too, minus costa, but i couldn't since i had to work. so that was a lot of fun. then we went back and xandie and i watched excorcist, which i had never seen. it was all right, but i liked the prequel better. then i called emily and she was at the casino, so i headed over there and met will and his little group of friends, who i always see at denny's. they're cool. i lost like three dollars at slots, then a slot opened up at the $5 blackjack table, so i put a $20 down and played that for awhile. i was up and down and eventually came out up $20, so that was good. everyone else lost around $40 except gavin, who made over $100. for a lot of it i was playing with emily, like i would bet $5 and she would bet $5 on the same hand for a total of ten and we would split the winnings. at one point i was trying to decide whether to hit or stay and everyone was saying hit, and then i heard another voice from behind me that i didn't recognize saying to hit, and i turned around and who was it but jerry, my boss at aj's and the guy i posted about previously who called me posing as a detective. he's a great guy. i won that hand, and jerry handed me a $100 chip to put under my bet. sadly, he lost his money, but it was crazy just seeing him toss around dough like that. that guy is pretty well off though, so i guess he views that like i would view betting a dollar on slots. i also ran into a guy i used to be in boy scouts with, and it turns out he's going to cal poly and majoring in computer science just like me. small world. so in the end we were there for a couple hours and it was lots of fun. then we went to denny's and had fun there as usual. i should go to bed soon, but i know i won't.
