xandie and i were watching the old batman serials, with adam west and KAPOW, and one of the bad guys threw an empty cardboard box at batman in an attempt to hurt him. in addition to that, on superman, in black and white, with george reeves:

clark: "like the only real magic...the magic of knowledge."
as nico pointed out, that's so fifties. xandie said one of those morals at the end of an episode should be, "too much butter in your diet can make you evil." HAH
