senior ditch day was fun. on the way there on the bus me and ryan were constructing hilarious sentences out of passing objects and roadsigns, making each other laugh. ryan thought i had some good ones but i think ryan is by far the best at that sort of silly bullshit. i'm really glad i decided to go...no one made fun of my whiteness really, and ryan, colin, and bryce were pretty white too. the waterslides were really fun. it was kinda cold at first, but then we got used to it. i tried all kinds of methods for going down, such as THE LUGE, on my knees, and wrapped up in it...it was awesome. sometimes i flipped over from going so fast. i didn't bring a towel or sunscreen or anything, so i had to use ryan's spray-on sunscreen that he kept thinking was hairspray, and even though it said sunblock on it, it may as well have been spray-on butter for all it helped keep the fucking sun off me. i am now a human lobster, but it was worth it. of course, being stupid me, i drank no water and only had a hamburger (sans bun) and soda all day, and the sun was kinda getting to me. the last time i went down the slide, i came out kinda hard and i think i hit my right foot on the bottom of the pool because when i got out to go again, my right leg sort of said "fuck you" and did its own thing while i clumsily tried to keep my balance. i stumbled and fell down and when i tried to get up i kept falling on my right side...it felt like that side weighed more all of a sudden. my right arm was also kinda disobeying me, and my right leg was now almost completely numb. the lifeguards looked at me, and the paramedics looked at me, and the doctor at the hospital ER looked at me, they x-rayed my leg, and none could find the cause of this anomaly. i'm guessing it was a pinched nerve or some shit, but it made for a good laugh. i was laughing so much at first i kept worrying that they'd think i was just joking around and not take me seriously, and leave me to die. but it was all good, and i got to ride in an ambulance, and ryan got my stuff like the best friend he is. so overall it was a great day.
song of the post: soundgarden - never the machine forever (i think i've done this song before but fuck it, it's a good song goddammit)
