it's been almost a month since my last post, and after observing almost no activity in the blog world for about that period of time, it looks as if the posting drought may be coming to an end. ryan and taryn posted, and now i am too. fucking amazing.

taryn, i know what you mean about not feeling productive and wanting school to start. while i'm enjoying my vacation and having no responsibilities and just doing nothing but chilling with my friends, i do want something else to do.

so doom3 is out, and it's awesome, although it runs crappy on my computer since my processor was overheating and now i have an athlon xp 1400 in it, so until i buy a new cpu it will continue to run crappily. today me and mike p played a lan game of doom3 on his two computers, and it was incredible. on monday, mike, steve-o, and i are taking a road trip, short though it may be, to san diego to see ryan for what i've calculated will be a total of approximately twelve hours, but i surmise that we can fill up the time he's working and sleeping with doom3.

i've been playing a lot of poker lately, with xandie's little brother and his best friend. xandie doesn't like it because she doesn't get to see me now. i think part of it is because i'm hanging out with her little brother, who she hates. i've been playing texas holdem, omaha, 7 card stud, 10 card split, three card lowball, all kinds of games. it's awesome. it makes me want to have like weekly poker games in our apartment next year.

me and mike went by lost kings today, and i think i finally decided what tat i want. i saw an awesome virgo symbol. mike wants him, ryan and i all to get our signs in the same place. i say whatever, do your own thing, it might be cool, but i think that's what i want.

tonight we went on another grunion run in santa barbara, after the last one failed. there were lots more people on the beach this time than there were last time we went down there, and some drunk girls came over and talked to us for a little bit, and i think they went back and told the guys they were with that we were from lompoc, because three guys came over and tried to tell us the grunion wouldn't be running tonight, so we should leave, but we just kept telling them we would stay and see. the guy kept contradicting himself, like saying he had seen the grunion run last night, then saying he hadn't, and saying he wasn't drinking, then when sarah pointed out that he'd had a beer in his hand, saying he was over 21. they kept telling us to go back to lompoc, and we kept saying no, so finally they went back to their group. then one guy and a girl came by and asked us if we had any firewood, and the guy kicked mike on the way by, kinda playfully i thought, but he was drunk and mike thought he meant it maliciously. then i guess the three guys went and got their buddies, because they came back over with a lot more people and started telling us to get the fuck out of there, and it was only sarah and ally doing the talking on our side, i guess since if any of the guys had said anything we'd just be provoking them more, and we could tell they were gonna start something if we didn't leave, so we started walking down the beach toward the parking lot and ally called the cops. we waited at the parking lot for the cops, but the people followed us up there and one guy was telling us we should leave if we wanted to come to their town and talk shit, and i made my only contribution by telling the guy that we weren't trying to start shit, that they came up to us and started talking shit. then some other girls came and met us and this one girl, alicia, boy did she have a mouth on her. she could talk some shit, i tell you what. then they threw a piece of wood at us and left. when the cops came he told us that they'd gotten one of the two cars, and the girl driving was probably going to jail for drunk driving, which was great news. then we went back down on the beach and saw a bunch of grunion, and it was pretty cool. they were these little silver fish that wash up in the tide, flop around on the beach, then get washed back out in the next tide. i wanted to catch one, but i didn't get to. we also found some cd's (all burns, mike took most of them) and a boombox which i threw on the rocks, somehow cutting my finger in the process. it was nice getting to see luhan and coline doline again. then we went to jack in the box, but it was packed so we decided to go to denny's in lompoc, where we had a great time as always, and now it's late and i should go to bed. post, people, post!

song of the post: aerosmith - last child (gotta get back, to the real nitty gritty)
