this is turning out to be somewhat of a good thing.
apparently we only have to pay a $250 deductible and that takes care of the window and a NEW model of my deck, which is even better. on the newer ones you have a seven-band equalizer instead of just the bass and treble adjusters on my old one. there are a few other improvements too. so for the price that i payed for my old deck i'm getting the window replaced and a new model of my deck. so basically i'm just upgrading my car. not too bad a situation to be in.
other than that, life is still going swell. right now i have nothing to do because they haven't put up the next programming assignment on the computer science 101 page. i enjoy doing those assignments. i hope this means i will enjoy working as a programmer.
on the topic of ryan's post, he asked me for seemingly endless hours last night if i knew anything about who hacked valve and stole the hl2 source, including if it was me. i kept replying that i knew nothing, and finally he stopped, saying only this.

now i don't know who sourcex is, but it is apparently the person or group responsible for the theft, according to ryan. hopefully ryan's infiltration of the crime ring will yield information regarding the origin of the plans for the break-in and we will get to the bottom of this. not like it matters though, since the source doesn't let you play the game, but it looks to be an interesting endeavor.
